State laws to counter EFCA?
Peter Kirsanow at NR "Corner": There's an effort under way to place EFCA-neutralizing referenda on the ballots of at least five states. The initiatives, if passed, would amend the respective states' constitutions to guarantee secret ballot votes for authorizations of employee representatives. The amusing aspect of such an effort, of course, would be to watch some of our friends on the Left who've shouted themselves hoarse denouncing federal preemption of state law suddenly rediscover its virtues.
