Plus ca change
From WRAL, Raleigh-Durham: SUNSET BEACH, N.C. -- The North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers is changing its name.
The group voted Sunday during its annual convention to change its name to the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
Group president Joe Cheshire said the new name will better reflect that the 46-year-old body's mission to fight for justice and protect people's rights. The change is expected to take effect in October. The group's website is here.
