The November issue of Texas Monthly contains an article by veteran reporter Mimi Swartz criticizing the liability reforms enacted in Texas in recent years and arguing that it is now too hard to bring legitimate cases in the state's courts. Hugh Rice Kelly, general counsel of Texans for Lawsuit Reform, has written a lengthy memo responding to Swartz' article and defending TLR itself, whose leadership came under criticism in her piece.
