Free to depart? Not in Connecticut: the state's AG has waged an aggressive legal battle against one of the state's largest employers, Pratt & Whitney, over its plans to move jobs to Singapore, Japan and other parts of the United States. No doubt there are votes to be gained in the short term by making the state a business mousetrap, but you do wonder whether employers will think twice about selecting the state as a location for a major new facility in the future.
