Senate passes on suing OPEC, but Klayman goes ahead



The Senate failed to invoke cloture today on S. 3044, the Consumer First Energy Act, which as we noted below, envisioned lawsuits against OPEC. The vote was 51-43.

Ignoring Congress, the New York Times reports that Larry Klayman -- you remember, Judicial Watch? -- filed suit in federal court in Miami against OPEC, accusing the organization of price-fixing. (AP story.)
