N.Y. lawyer advertising rules, cont'd

Although softened considerably in their final form, the state's new rules curbing attorney promotion (coverage here, here, here and here) have not surprisingly resulted in a lawsuit, which has been slated for trial next month in federal court. P.S. Outrun by events: the parties have reportedly agreed to skip trial and proceed to judicial resolution in the absence of disputed factual issues. Eric Turkewitz has the details.
