ACS press event on Philip Morris v. Williams



I'll be speaking at an American Constitution Society event in Washington October 24:

On October 24, ACS will host a press briefing on the upcoming Supreme Court case, Philip Morris USA v. Williams, which concerns the constitutional standard for awarding [punitive damages] for corporate wrongdoing. Advocates and academics will present different perspectives on the role of the jury in determining such awards and the applicability of constitutional limits on the punitive damage award against Philip Morris USA in this case.

The panel will feature:
